Traveling as a family is something that we love to do. Giving my kids experiences that will last a lifetime keep me motivated to plan new trips and see new places. There are so many different kinds of traveling that we enjoy, from camping to playing on the beach in the sun. Regardless of our location, we always want to make it unique and fun. Sometimes traveling with kids can be a challenge but, we have found ways to keep them entertained on the road and while we are at our destinations and, that has made the difference in a good trip and an amazing trip.
Creating family travel traditions is important. From the time we decide on a trip, we usually tell our kids and let them help us plan it. I have been really surprised at some of the things that they have chosen and not chosen to do and I have been impressed with how well their choices were exactly what we needed. Another thing we have learned is to slow things down and not plan every minute of the day. Enjoying what we are doing without having to rush has been essential in creating memories and new experiences. Another part is using technology to enhance the trip.
I recently saw an amazing idea for a Photo Scavenger Hunt on the Best Buy Family Travel Tips site and fell in love with the concept. My kids all love to take pictures and my two oldest already have cameras of their own. This is great opportunity for us to bond and have fun enjoying our trip in a unique way.
