We were hosted at the Thousand Trails Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort. All opinions are my own. My family loves to travel. We have traveled so many places like Yellowstone, Arches, Zion National Park, California, Florida, Las Vegas and much more. Our most recent adventure was to Arizona to the Cottonwood area. We stayed for four days and three nights in a cottage at the Thousand Trails Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort. The park is huge – so expect to drive a little to get to your campsite. You can tent, RV or rent a cottage or a cabin.
You can read more about our adventures in our recap posts from Day 1 and 2 and then in Day 3 and 4. We had an amazing time and my kids keep asking when we can go back. They loved everything about it and I am so glad that we had the opportunity to go there.
We loved our time in Arizona and the Verde Valley RV Resort was a big part of that. It was like a home away from home and it gave us a taste of what it would be like to have a “tiny house” which is something we have talked about before. We decided to wait until the kids were gone, lol, and then talk more about that. Although I do have to admit, that they got along better, were more productive and had more fun on this trip while we were in the cottage than when we are at home…maybe we do need to get a tiny house… 🙂
The swimming, mini golf, and the cottage were our favorite things about it, but there is so much more and we want to go back just so we have more time to enjoy it all. Make plans with your family to visit and spend quality family time together. Make it a couples trip or a big family adventure. You won’t regret it and there is a lot to do to stay busy or can just relax and stay in your camping space. If you are traveling already, this is a great place to stop on your journey.
