We were skeptical about going to a magic/comedy show while we in Vegas, but we are extremely glad we did. The Nathan Burton Comedy Magic Show took place at the Sax Theater in Planet Hollywood. The auditorium provided the perfect atmosphere for this show. Spacious theater style seating instead of bench seats made the 90 minute show extremely comfortable.

The pre-performance by Russ Merlin before Nathan Burton was exactly what we needed to get me excited and ready for the Main Event. Russ chose 4 different adults to assist him with his act. We absolutely loved how entertaining and LOL funny he was. The improv he used in reacting to what each volunteer did was creative. His pre-show created the excitement needed for the entrance of Nathan Burton.
From the beginning of Nathan’s show until the end, it was all about pure adrenaline rushing excitement. He filled the stage with illusion after illusion, and not just your backyard tricks, but magic that left your mouth wide open going “HOW?” The pyrotechnics and special effects were extremely fascinating, and led to several heart pounding finishes to each of his illusions.
With the help of four beautiful assistants he managed to illuminate smiles from the entire audience. The illusions and tricks were very entertaining, but there was a little more provocative dancing throughout the show then I felt like should have been there – especially for an afternoon show. (Parents be warned, in my opinion his female assistants made this P.G. rated.) Despite that, I loved the show.
Towards the end of the show Armando Vera did an amazing set of card tricks. It was really neat to see how he could do that and wonder how it the heck it is done.
When I think of Vegas I picture neon lights, loud music, entertainment from every angle, smoke, casinos, and more than anything magic. Yes, just like the saying “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” is exactly right. And thats why you should go to Vegas and check out the Nathan Burton comedy/magic show.

I’ve been to a comedy show, which I loved. But I’ve never been to a magic show, and certainly never a magic comedy show but it sounds awesome!
I love magic and comedy, so this show would be right up my alley! It looks like Nathan puts on a good show!
We haven’t been to Vegas in a few years, but when we do go we always catch at least one comedy show. Hopefully he’ll still be around the next time we get out there!
