While we were in Orlando for our family vacation this summer, I took my kids to a Dinner show called Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. Many years ago when my husband and I were on our honeymoon, we went to something similar and we loved it – so we knew we wanted to do this with the kids while we were here. I am so glad that we did. It was such a fun experience.
The night started off by us going across the draw bridge to get into the castle. My kids loved this part! They were hoping to see an alligator in the water, but I am pretty sure that was wishful thinking lol. When we got inside, we checked in and found out we would be on the blue team. We had some time before they opened the doors to the tournament hall, so we wandered around a bit look at everything. We got to watch someone get knighted and enjoyed all of the incredible decor.
We found our seats and got settled in and had fun playing with the flags while we waited for the show to start. We each got our own flag, towel, and crown. My kids were in heaven! It didn’t take long and the show was underway. We soon had our drinks and soup/bread. The show was non-stop throughout the night with the servers bringing food and drinks throughout. They even brought wet towelettes and napkins to clean our hands – since we didn’t have eating utensils.
The Blue Knight got flowers from the princess because he won his round, and he threw on to Kenzie. She was SO EXCITED!!! She didn’t let go of the flower for the rest of the night. I loved the look on her face when she caught it. So many great memories made this night – and I am so glad we were able to go.
The dinner was delicious and we gobbled it up. A delicious soup and toast to start with, then roasted chicken, potato, corn and other delicious food with bottomless drinks and a delicious dessert. The show was incredibly fun to watch and get into. We loved everything from the cool tricks the animals did to the tournament and the whole atmosphere. It transports you to another place and time.
After the show, we went out into the main hall and were able to meet the Blue Knight, the Princess, and the King and get pictures with them. Of course, the little miss had her flower with her and loved getting the meet the Knight who threw it to her.
We loved our evening at the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament and highly recommend it to everyone looking for a great meal and a lot of adventure and fun. There are several places you can catch the fabulous Medieval Times show, so be sure to check for one close to you (or where you will be traveling) or go to the one in Orlando if you are going to be in the area. It was a really fun night that my kids still talk about! Learn more on :
