My family likes to eat out so we have been “around the block” a few times when it comes to Restaurants in our area. I am a little ashamed to say that up until Monday – I hadn’t ate at Cancun Cafe – as it is now one of my favorite’s. They have such great food, service, and staff that I know we will be back often. I loved the chips and salsa we we served upon being seated. They were so good, and the salsa wasn’t to spicy for me. They had to bring out a different one for my hubby who likes things hot.
I ordered the (#8 – Chelem – pictured in the top right corner above) Chimichanga carnitas smothered in Chilie Verde sauce and I can honestly tell you I have never had better (and that is saying a lot). The meat was cooked perfectly and the Chimichanga was nice and crispy even through it was smothered, every bite was crunchy. The beans and rice that came with it were very generous servings and very good as well.
My husband ordered the (#4 – Merida, pictured in the top left corner above) Extra Large Burrito. He got chicken and had it smothered as well.
For our kids we ordered the #2 – Cancun Pequeno, and we were very pleased with the portions and the taste. Of course we were sharing and trying each others because it was so good, lol.
The atmosphere is great and the service was fast and on top of things! Any time of day, any occasion, I would recommend Cancun Cafe. They also have catering services that you can take advantage of for large family and business functions. They have three locations across the valley (885 East 3900 South, 1891 Fort Union Boulevard, and 123 East 200 South).
