Over the last week we have the chance to test drive the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander. Several months ago we drove her sister – the 2015 Outlander – and found several similarities, but there were also a lot of great improvements on the 2016 model. I love the new look and style of this year over last year, although they are both very sleek and nice. On the inside they added some buttons to the radio and that is a huge bonus to me because I love that everything isn’t on the touchscreen. The same great layout that you know and love from Mitsubishi is still there and very smooth. I love the seven seats and that my family is not only comfortable, but safe, inside.
Watch the video below as we take you on a virtual test drive of the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander:
Sleek, Stylish, and Classy Family Car, yet I feel like I’m driving a sports car. The beautiful 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL S-AWC design is built with aerodynamic taste which boasts a proud 25/31 mpg 2.4L MIVEC SOHC 16 valve inline 4-cylinder engine while seating 7. I love the new redesigned grille and the 18 inch two tone alloy wheels. Just two of over 100 new improvements to the 2016 model. Some features include power glass sunroof with tilt & slide and one-touch open/close switch, 710-watt Rockford-Fosgate premium sound system with 9 speakers including 10 inch dual voice coil subwoofer with Punch Control. DTS Neural Surround, PremiDIA-Wide surround, and Dolby Volume, Super all-wheel control (S-AWC), LED headlights, power remote liftgate, auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink universal garage door opener, power folding side-view mirrors, leather seats, GPS Navigation, and so much more. Everything is customizable and can be added.
My favorite feature would have to be the next-gen smooth accelerating CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), which means you won’t feel it kick when it’s shifting gears. It comes with Acceleration Control and has been redesigned to use less oil for even greater efficiency. Awesome technology! Even better than that feature is the appeal which comes from the 10 year 100,000 mile limited powertrain warranty, a 5 year/60,000 mile fully transferable new vehicle limited warranty, a 7 year/100,000 mile anti-corrosion/perforation limited warranty and a 5 year/unlimited miles roadside assistance.
Mitsubishi outdid themselves when they threw this work of art together. Comfort, luxury, roomy, and fun to drive = I WANT ONE! And let’s not forget how important our safety means to Mitsubishi. There are 7 airbags throughout for protection, just another plus with assurance when purchasing this vehicle. I have to admit that I was skeptical of how Mitsubishi could have possibly made the 2016 model better than the 2015 model, but driving the new vs the old is worth doing. Go drive for yourself and see how much different and better the 2016 model really is.
